Please excuse the shameless plug. A while back I posted about a new
weekly gig I was doing at a restaurant called "Cafe Soleil", at 2nd ave.
between 53rd & 54th street. Since then we've had some great nights of
music.

This week the drummer/leader (Thierry Arpino) is on the road with
Jean-Luc Ponty, and the bassist (Patrice Blanchard) is also in Europe.
So we'll be doing a few less Brazilian tunes and a little more jazz,
with Joel Rosenblatt (ex-Spyro Gyra, Michel Camilo, Bill Evans) on drums
and Dave Anderson (Joe Beck, Special EFX) on bass. There may be some
guest "stars" sitting in as well (last week saxophonist Bill Evans
played). Next week, guitarist Chieli Minucci may be joining us.

The music goes from 8:30 to 11:30PM, and there's no cover. Parking is
easy (no meters after 7PM). And, the food is as good as the music! I
know it's a long shot but I'd love to have someone come up to me and say
"I'm here because I saw the notice on rmb"!

Apologies if anyone actually went there...I was halfway there myself (I
live over an hour from NYC).

Hopefully we're on for next week.
